Today more and more people decide to buy a smartphone instead of a dull everyday common cell-phone. Besides many users who already have smartphones and are keen on devices may be looking for some other alternatives having quite a specific idea what they need from a costly gadget. For a novice in the industry it’s quite difficult to explain what he or she wants. The only more or less valid description can be something “I want the phone like my friend/husband/daughter etc has”.
Switching platforms is not that easy too. For example, to switch to another platform a person has to think twice or even tree times. But many people would ask what a user should pay attention to when choosing a smartphone. Are there some universal things that should be noted and taken into consideration? Some would dwell on a special design that features some of the platforms, others will appreciate open code and an air of freedom which is an inseparable part of other smartphone environments. But many forget that a smartphone is not just a gadget it’s a tool to use a variety of products. And it is the presence of such products, their abundance and variety which is important.
